Community Safety

This section of the division is responsible for co-ordinating the Blaenau Gwent community safety strategy. This is a three-year strategy developed after a local audit of crime and disorder in the County Borough and extensive consultation with residents, businesses, voluntary groups and statutory agencies. 

Members Services

Members Services provides the first contact point for all protocol with departments of the Council and other numerous outside bodies.

As well as carrying out Constituency work for all Members of the Council, and a follow-up Complaints System, Members Services carries out all Official Openings and Launches for all Executive Members of the Council.

This division also undertake all Civic Engagements, controls the budget for Mayor’s Civic Entertainments and other Council Functions and provides the transport for Mayor and all Members of Council.
