Corporate Communications

Corporate communications is responsible for the following services:

• Dealing with Press Enquiries
• Sourcing and writing news releases
• Feature writing for external publications
• Producing our Community Newspaper
• Safeguarding the Corporate identity
• Researching Councillor enquiries
• Information services – directory updates, Street Guides, A – Z of services.

Corporate Performance

The performance management unit is responsible for developing and implementing a Performance Management framework at corporate and departmental levels.  This is the way in which the Council as a whole and departments as part of the Council, operate to achieve their objectives.

This section is also responsible for Compliance to the regulatory framework of the Wales Programme for improvement and the production of the Corporate Improvement Plan and Summary by 30^th June each year.  This means that we meet the obligations placed on us by external bodies such as the Welsh Assembly Government and the Audit Commission.
