John Pearce was appointed to the position of Corporate Director, following a Restructure of the Council in April 2005. Prior to this John was seconded in September 2004 from his substantive post, Director of Lifelong Learning and Strategic Partnerships, into the post of Corporate Director on the Improvement Team.
John was appointed to the post of Director of Lifelong Learning and Strategic Partnerships in December 2002, having been the Senior Assistant Director of Education with the Authority since local government reorganization in April 1996.
John holds an MSc in Education Management and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries. His background spans over a period of 20 years in the Education field within Local Government.
