In April 2005, John Parsons was appointed to the post of Corporate Director of Environment, following a secondment to the post of Corporate Director on the Improvement team.
John Parsons returned to the Authority in June 2003 as Director of Community Services, having previously worked for the Authority from February 1996 – October 2001 in the role of Assistant Director Community Services. (Housing, Technical Services, Leisure and Environment).
John’s professional background is within technical/ environmental services provided by Local Government. His background in these service areas covers a period of 30 years and he is a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management; Chartered Environmentalist, Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers; an Incorporated Civil Engineer; a fellow of the Institute of Incorporated Highways Engineers, and a Chartered Manager.
