Delivery of a high quality service to all our customers, maintain & continually improve these high standards and modernize the service where possible, keep the customer as our top priority, listen to their needs whilst providing a friendly & helpful service to our customers and ensuring that they are dealt with swiftly and effectively.

Positive responses to change.

• Development of each member of staff in accordance with their role in the Division.
• Collection of all monies efficiently and at a minimum cost to both the customer and the Authority.
• Reduction of the level of outstanding arrears and improve collection rates.

Specific Objective for the Benefits Section

• To provide an effective and secure Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit service whilst working towards the National Performance Standards.
• To pay everyone quickly and correctly first time, every time and to continue to deter fraud.
• The Mission Statement for the Section is"to provide a high quality Revenues service where we will strive to maximize benefit entitlement and income collection for the people of Blaenau Gwent".
