The Authority is proud to offer secured childcare places at Candy Stripes Day Nursery Ltd. for its employees.

Candy Stripes Day Nursery Ltd is situated in the former Cwmcelyn Infants School, Blaina. The contract for a child’s place at the Nursery will be with the Candy Stripes Day Nursery Ltd and not the Council.

There will be up to 30 places for the children of Council employees between the ages of six weeks to 5 years and there will be around 62 places in total. Where demand dictates, a waiting list may be operated.  The Nursery will comply with and wherever possible exceed the minimum standards as set out by Care Standards in Wales.  The building has been completely refurbished and will offer a modern, safe and spacious environment.  The Opening Hours will be 8.00am to 6.00pm and fees are contained within the Nursery Prospectus
