An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to manage the Intake and Assessment Team, ensuring that assessments of children in need and children in need of protection and their families are dealt with appropriately and effectively within required timescales.
You will ensure that the professional practice and standards of Social Workers and other team members are promoted, supported and monitored through regular supervision and that all statutory duties in respect of the client group for which the team is responsible are discharged in accordance with the requirements of legislation, guidance and the Council’s policy.
You will have a degree in Social Work or equivalent and have substantial post qualifying experience in the child care field. Experience in the management of staff and resources is essential along with the ability to co-ordinate the professional development of others.
You will be self motivated, able to meet deadlines, and set and meet objectives and targets and possess effective problem solving skills.
The post carries an Essential Car User Allowance and therefore you should possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
