Based at: Bridge Street, Ebbw Vale
37 hours per week

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will contribute to the development and provision of a comprehensive social care service within a designated team in the Children’s Services Division. You will be expected to effectively manage a caseload and provide full information and advice to children and young people, parents/guardians and staff from other agencies regarding the availability of services.  You will act as advocate in pursuit of the clients’ best interests and provide or access information, or refer appropriately to other agencies in matters which require specialist or specific advice.

You will have achieved CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and have previous experience of working in partnership with children, their families and other agencies.  You will have knowledge of current legislation, guidance, regulations and standards along with an understanding of current research and good practice in Child Care.

The post carries an Essential Car User Allowance and therefore you should possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
